We are a venue for and summer and winter, always creating the perfect atmosphere using our fantastic marina view as a backdrop.

For your wedding day menu we work closely with you to design a menu that suits the style of wedding you are after on you special day.

In order to secure your preferred date, it is wise to get in as early as possible as the venue is extremely popular during the summer months. We do require a deposit 10 weeks from the date of the reception, with the amount negotiable between the parties involved.

Salt as your venue

Salt Bar and Restaurant is situated on the Marina's edge, creating an idyllic backdrop for your special day.

We are the Coromandel Peninsula's premier restaurant offering exquisite contempary European cuisine using fresh seasonal NZ produce. From free range pork to the local wild watercress you can guarantee only the best quality ingredients are used. This is all accompanied by our extensive beverage list and friendly professional service.

When choosing Salt as your wedding venue you can be assured a day to remember.

The ‘nuts and bolts’
of a wedding at Salt Restaurant

From February to April and from October to December we offer our one in a kind experience at a set price of $18 000.

During the months of May to September we can negotiate a wedding package for you.

Unfortunately we do not provide the restaurant as a wedding venue during the month of January

Salt's wedding package includes your food and alcohol, accomodation (sleeps 22 people) and the venue for up to 120 people

You choose from one of our professionally designed food and beverage menus for your special day. We can accomodate for any special needs

Pricing breakdown

You choose from one our food and beverage packages that best suits you at $150 per person

The venue hire is $2500 which includes exclusive use for the day and the attached accomodation that sleeps 22 people.

We offer the stress free alternative of Salt as your wet weather ceremony venue
